Pakistan’s living legend Anwar Maqsood returns to Dubai for PAD fundraiser
Proceeds to support Pakistan Medical Centre’s free healthcare mission
Dubai is set to host a remarkable event next month as Pakistan Association Dubai (PAD) welcomes legendary writer and humourist Anwar Maqsood to the Pakistan Auditorium.
Known for his iconic contributions to literature, television, and culture, including the celebrated show Loose Talk, Maqsood will enchant audiences with his timeless wit and satire on 26th January, 2025. The event, An Evening with Anwar Maqsood, marks his fourth event with PAD.
Organised in collaboration with Poetic Strokes, the event isn’t just a tribute to Anwar Maqsood’s brilliance; it’s a fundraiser supporting the Pakistan Medical Centre (PMC).
Established as the GCC’s first not-for-profit healthcare facility, PMC has provided expert care to over 103,900 individuals across 92 nationalities.

Muhsin Al Banna, Chairperson PMC, highlighted the centre’s achievements: “Since 2020, Pakistan Medical Centre has expanded its expert care now spanning 34 specialties. With Dh16.8 million in subsidised healthcare, over 57,000 welfare patients have been served, supported by the incredible dedication of our volunteer professionals who have given more than 56,000 hours of their time. This is a collective effort and a testament to what we can achieve when a community comes together with shared purpose."

A man whose talent has enriched generations stands as the first ambassador of our project.
