UAE’s premier city set to showcase intense sports and technology as global event heads to Dubai in Autumn 2025

Dubai:  Dubai has secured the prestigious honor of hosting the Games of the Future in the autumn of 2025. This groundbreaking event, which blends physical and digital sports, will further solidify Dubai’s reputation as a world leader in innovation, technology, and sports.

The announcement follows a competitive bidding process that culminated in a dazzling selection ceremony in Istanbul last month.

The Games of the Future 2025 are expected to attract thousands of athletes and e-sports competitors from over 100 countries. Participants will qualify through the World Phygital Community (WPC) and its Phygital Games 2024/25 season.

A perfect match

His Excellency Ghanim Mubarak Al Hajeri, Director-General of the General Authority of Sports, UAE, expressed his enthusiasm for bringing the Games to Dubai. "Dubai's role as a global leader in sports and technology makes it the ideal host for the Games of the Future 2025," he said. "This event will showcase our commitment to innovation and our ability to deliver extraordinary sporting experiences."
