DUBAI: The city is set to celebrate Eid Al Fitr in grand style as Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE) unveils an exciting line-up of events as part of the Eid in Dubai campaign.

Running from 25 March to 6 April, the festivities will bring a mix of entertainment, cultural performances, dazzling fireworks, shopping promotions, and immersive experiences across the emirate.

Dubai’s iconic landmarks will shine bright with Eid-themed lighting and decorations across prime locations, including 2nd December Street, Al Garhoud Bridge, Al Seef, and Dubai Clocktower, enhancing the celebratory spirit for both residents and visitors. From shopping malls to beachside pop-ups and live entertainment, the citywide celebrations promise something for everyone.

Fireworks & entertainment

Mesmerising fireworks displays will light up Dubai’s skyline, with shows scheduled at Jumeirah Beach and Hatta on the first day of Eid at 8.00 pm, followed by another dazzling spectacle at The Beach, JBR, and Bluewaters Island on the second day at 9.00 pm.

Live concerts will add to the excitement, featuring renowned regional and international artists, including Marwan Pablo on 3 April, Jalasat Moments on 4 April, and Aria’s Dubai debut on 4 April. Additionally, sports enthusiasts can look forward to the Dubai World Cup at Meydan Racecourse on 5 April, alongside various thrilling sporting events.

Traditional Emirati performances such as Ayala and Harbiya will take centre stage across major shopping hubs, including Mall of the Emirates, City Centre Deira, Bluewaters Island, and Dubai Festival City Mall, offering visitors a chance to experience the rich cultural heritage of the UAE.

Shopping & deals

Retail enthusiasts can expect massive sales and exclusive deals as part of Dubai’s Great Online Sale from 27 to 30 March, with discounts of up to 95 percent on top brands. Additionally, shoppers stand a chance to win a staggering Dh100,000 in prizes, along with bonus cash rewards of Dh50,000.

The Eid Al Fitr Raffle Campaign will offer prizes worth Dh200,000, while jewellery lovers can enjoy dazzling discounts, personalised engraving, and special promotions by the Dubai Gold & Jewellery Group.
