Dubai’s iconic Global Village has unveiled an elaborate programme to commemorate the UAE's 53rd National Day, blending culture, tradition, and innovation.
Running from 25th November to 4th December, the celebrations promise unforgettable experiences for visitors, aligning with the nationwide #ZayedAndRashid campaign honouring the UAE’s founding fathers.
Eid Al Etihad at Global Village
Global Village will be transformed with dazzling decorations in the UAE's national colours. Iconic landmarks, gates, and pavilions will be illuminated, reflecting national pride and unity. Visitors can immerse themselves in the festive atmosphere while exploring the destination’s rich cultural offerings.
Since its inception in 1997, Global Village has welcomed over 100 million visitors, with its 28th season attracting a record-breaking 10 million guests. Season 29 continues this legacy, boasting 30 pavilions representing over 90 cultures, 3,500 shopping outlets, and 250 dining options. Guests can also enjoy 400 performers, 40,000 shows, and over 200 rides and games at Carnaval.
Cultural Performances
The Main Stage will host Hawa Emarati, a grand operetta featuring over 40 performers. Running from 1 to 3 December with two daily shows, the production narrates a story of love and unity leading up to the UAE’s formation in 1971.
Emirati bands Liwa and Harbiyah will also showcase traditional music and dances, adding to the cultural experience.
Other cultural showcases throughout the park celebrate the UAE's heritage, ensuring visitors leave with a deeper appreciation of its traditions.
Fireworks and Drone Show
Spectacular nightly fireworks will light up the skies from 29 November to 3 December, mirroring the UAE flag's vibrant colours. The crowning jewel of the festivities is a unique drone show on 2 December, themed around #ZayedAndRashid. This innovative performance is set to captivate audiences and provide a memorable tribute to the nation’s founders.
Shopping and Emirati Handicrafts
Visitors can explore exclusive souvenirs and authentic Emirati products at key pavilions, including the UAE Pavilion, the Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation Pavilion, and the 971 from the Community Pavilion. The Heritage Village, in collaboration with the Hamdan Bin Mohammed Heritage Center, will feature traditional crafts and displays, giving guests a glimpse into Emirati culture.
Traditional Flavours
Food enthusiasts can indulge in classic Emirati dishes like Luqaimat and Ragag Bread, available at various kiosks. The dining experience at Global Village remains a highlight, blending tradition with culinary excellence.
