Abu Dhabi Crown Prince begins official visit to Pakistan

ISLAMABAD: On behalf of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, His Highness Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, has reached Pakistan on an official visit.

Upon landing at Nur Khan Air Base, His Highness Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan was warmly received by Asif Ali Zardari, President of Pakistan; Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif; and other senior officials. The visit marks a significant step in strengthening UAE-Pakistan relations.

Accompanying the crown prince is a high-ranking UAE delegation comprising ministers, top government officials, and prominent business figures. The delegation includes His Highness Sheikh Zayed bin Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of 2PointZero; Sheikh Khalifa bin Tahnoon bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Court; and Mohamed Hassan Alsuwaidi, Minister of Investment, among others.

A high-level UAE delegation accompanies His Highness Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan during discussions on economic cooperation in Islamabad.

Guard of Honour at PM House

His Highness Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan was accorded a guard of honour at the Prime Minister House in Islamabad before engaging in official discussions. The visit is expected to deepen the long-standing friendship between Pakistan and the UAE, particularly in economic and investment cooperation.

The visit includes discussions on economic collaboration, investment opportunities, and security partnerships. Pakistan’s Foreign Office stated that multiple agreements and memorandums of understanding (MoUs) will be signed, reinforcing the UAE’s commitment to long-term partnerships in Pakistan.

His Highness Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan was presented a guard of honour in Islamabad.

The agreements aim to create new avenues for investment, trade, and infrastructure development. "These commitments are expected to open new opportunities for joint ventures and projects aimed at furthering economic cooperation between both the countries and their peoples," the Foreign Office noted.

Pakistan and the UAE share a strong bond rooted in mutual respect and trust. Last month, UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan visited Pakistan, where he was received with high honours in Rahim Yar Khan.
