SalamAir, Oman’s leading low-cost carrier, has announced the addition of Nairobi, Kenya, to its growing network.
Starting in February 2025, the airline will operate direct flights between Muscat and Nairobi twice a week.
With fares beginning at just 49.99 OMR, SalamAir aims to make travel more accessible and affordable.
The new route marks a significant step in SalamAir’s expansion strategy, tapping into Africa’s growing market while strengthening ties between the Middle East and East Africa.
New Africa destination
Adrian Hamilton-Manns, CEO of SalamAir, highlighted the importance of Nairobi as a strategic hub. “Nairobi is not only a gateway to East Africa but also a thriving centre for business, technology, and education. This route will connect passengers from East Africa to India, Thailand, Central Asia, and beyond at incredibly low fares,” he stated.
By offering budget-friendly travel options, SalamAir aims to support Oman’s vision of fostering tourism and trade links across the region.
Competitive fares
The Nairobi route features a starting fare of 49.99 OMR, up to 70% cheaper than existing options. This price point reinforces SalamAir’s commitment to providing budget-friendly alternatives to legacy airlines. Passengers can enjoy a cost-effective gateway to explore Nairobi’s rich culture, wildlife, and economy.
