DubaiPrivate jet traffic at Dubai’s Mohammed bin Rashid Aerospace Hub (MBRAH) is set to skyrocket, with 18,000 flights projected by the end of 2024. Business aviation in Dubai South saw a 7% increase in the first half of 2024, with 8,472 private jet movements recorded, cementing Al Maktoum International Airport as the leading business aviation hub in the Middle East.

This surge follows a record-breaking 16,657 private jet movements in 2023, with demand for private air travel continuing to climb.

New developments and key events fuel growth

“We expect even higher growth with new aircraft hangars and maintenance facilities coming to Dubai South,” said Khalifa Al Zaffin, executive chairman of Dubai Aviation City Corporation as quoted by Economy Middle East. The MEBAA Show, the region’s top business aviation event, will also be held in December 2024, further boosting demand.

MBRAH is committed to positioning Dubai as the global aviation capital, aligning with the city’s vision for the future.

Middle East jet market booms

Dubai’s rise mirrors a regional trend. The Middle East’s private jet market, currently valued at $566 million, is expected to grow to $943 million by 2029, according to Creative Zone. The global private jet market is projected to hit $39.84 billion by 2025, with the GCC contributing significantly to this growth.

MBRAH offers world-class connectivity and is home to top airlines, private jet companies, and aerospace hubs, making Dubai a key player in the global business aviation landscape.
