Check new paid parking hours and vehicle testing schedules

Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced the revised operating hours for public transport and related services during Ramadan 1446/2025.

These changes will apply across the Dubai Metro, Dubai Tram, public buses, marine transport, paid parking, and Customer Happiness Centres. Commuters and residents are advised to check updated schedules to plan their journeys accordingly during the holy month.

Dubai Metro timings

The Dubai Metro Red and Green Lines will operate as follows:

  • Monday to Thursday: 5:00 AM – 12:00 AM (midnight)
  • Friday: 5:00 AM – 1:00 AM (next day)
  • Saturday: 5:00 AM – 12:00 AM (midnight)
  • Sunday: 8:00 AM – 12:00 AM (midnight)
Dubai Metro will operate from 5:00 AM to midnight on weekdays and until 1:00 AM on Fridays during Ramadan 2025.

Dubai Tram timings

Dubai Tram services will follow this schedule:

  • Monday to Saturday: 6:00 AM – 1:00 AM (next day)
  • Sunday: 9:00 AM – 1:00 AM (next day)

Dubai Public Buses

Passengers using Dubai’s public bus network can check real-time updates and specific route schedules via the S’hail App. The app provides detailed information on bus timings to ensure smooth commutes during Ramadan.

Marine Transport services

For marine transport, including abras and Dubai Water Taxis, passengers can access updated schedules on the RTA website or via the S’hail App. Timings may vary depending on routes and service availability during the Holy Month.

Customer Happiness Centres

For in-person assistance, RTA’s Customer Happiness Centres will operate with adjusted timings:

  • Monday to Thursday: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Friday: 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM

Smart Customer Happiness Centres at Umm Ramool, Deira, Al Barsha, Al Kifaf, and RTA’s Head Office will remain open 24/7 for self-service options.

Vehicle Testing Centres

Service Provider Centres, including Tasjeel, Shamil, Wasel, and other facilities, will operate with the following modified hours:

Monday to Thursday & Saturday:

  • Morning Shift: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
  • Evening Shift: 8:00 PM – 12:00 AM

Friday:

  • Morning Shift: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM
  • Evening Shift: 8:00 PM – 12:00 AM

Sunday (Technical Inspection Only):

  • Morning Shift: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM
  • Evening Shift: 8:00 PM – 12:00 AM

Updated Paid Parking Hours

RTA has also revised the timing for paid parking zones across Dubai during Ramadan. Parking fees will apply during the following hours:

Monday to Saturday:

  • First Period: 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM
  • Second Period: 8:00 PM – 12:00 AM (midnight)

Multi-level parking buildings will continue operating 24/7.

Passengers are encouraged to use the S’hail App or visit RTA’s official website for any changes in public transport schedules.
