Dubai Culture Joins Hands with talabat UAE, ERC to aid underprivileged families

Dubai Culture and Arts Authority (Dubai Culture) has launched the sixth edition of its humanitarian campaign, Ramadan Heroes, reinforcing the spirit of giving during the holy month.

In collaboration with talabat UAE and the Emirates Red Crescent (ERC), the initiative encourages community-wide participation in charitable efforts.

The campaign supports the ‘Ramadan in Dubai’ initiative, led by Brand Dubai – the creative arm of the Government of Dubai Media Office – in partnership with public and private entities. It aims to highlight the emirate’s rich traditions of generosity and social responsibility.

Supporting families in need

Under the theme ‘Celebrating the Spirit of Giving,’ Dubai Culture’s Ramadan Heroes enables residents to contribute iftar and suhoor meals, food parcels, Eid clothing, and Zakat Al Fitr. Donations can be made through the virtual charity platform on talabat UAE, ensuring swift and secure delivery to beneficiaries via ERC teams.

Shaima Rashed Al Suwaidi, Director of the Corporate Communication and Marketing Department at Dubai Culture, emphasised the initiative’s impact, stating, “Ramadan Heroes is an inspiring model for social solidarity. It reflects the deep-rooted values of our community and reinforces Dubai Culture’s commitment to supporting those in need.”

Philanthropic partnerships

Dubai Culture continues to collaborate with key organisations to enhance the programme’s outreach. Al Suwaidi expressed gratitude to talabat UAE and ERC for their ongoing support, describing them as vital partners in Dubai’s humanitarian landscape.

Reef AlKhaja, Marketing Director of the Emirates Red Crescent Authority, highlighted the initiative’s growth, saying, “Entering its sixth year, Ramadan Heroes continues to expand its inclusivity and impact. This collaboration allows us to mobilise community efforts to reach more families, individuals, and target groups in need.”

Leveraging digital solutions for philanthropy, talabat UAE plays a crucial role in facilitating donations. Simonida Subotic, Vice President and Managing Director at talabat UAE, remarked, “The Ramadan Heroes campaign has become a meaningful tradition. Our platform provides a seamless and secure way for residents to contribute, fostering a culture of generosity during this special time.”
