Arab Health 2025: Dubai’s new portal opens doors for global healthcare professionals
‘Opportunities Platform’ advances Emiratisation, transforming healthcare hiring in UAE
DUBAI: Professionals worldwide aiming to join Dubai’s thriving healthcare sector can now access a dedicated online platform to find suitable job opportunities.
The Dubai Health Authority (DHA) unveiled the ‘Opportunities Platform’, an innovative recruitment gateway integrated into its Sheryan system, during the inaugural day of Arab Health 2025, held at the Dubai World Trade Centre.
The platform is designed to simplify recruitment processes, support Emiratisation, and attract global talent to meet the growing demands of the healthcare sector.
Revolutionising recruitment
The ‘Opportunities Platform’ is a first-of-its-kind initiative launched by a government entity to advertise healthcare job vacancies in both public and private facilities. It provides job seekers access to available positions that match their qualifications while ensuring employers benefit from advanced applicant filtering based on criteria such as education and experience.
Dr Hisham Al Hammadi, Director of Health Licensing at the DHA, described the platform as a digital gateway offering accurate labour market data and insights to facilitate policy-making and workforce planning. “This initiative showcases all available vacancies in Dubai’s healthcare sector, providing qualified professionals with a seamless way to secure opportunities that meet registration requirements,” he said.
Empowering job seekers
One of the primary objectives of the platform is to streamline the job application process by reducing the time required for announcements and application reviews. Job seekers can filter opportunities based on qualifications and preferences, while healthcare institutions can efficiently identify and recruit talent through the dedicated system.
Additionally, the platform aims to prevent recruitment fraud by consolidating all official vacancies under the DHA umbrella. “This electronic management system eliminates any scope for fake job offers and ensures transparency for both applicants and employers,” Dr Al Hammadi added.
Boosting Emiratisation
The ‘Opportunities Platform’ aligns with Dubai’s broader Emiratisation goals, particularly in the private healthcare sector. It aims to facilitate the employment of Emirati professionals by creating direct connections with healthcare institutions and enabling employers to target local talent pools.
Global talent integration
Beyond supporting local talent, the platform is pivotal in attracting international healthcare professionals. It serves as a bridge for global experts seeking opportunities in Dubai, solidifying the city’s reputation as a global healthcare hub.
By providing employers with detailed reports on labour market trends and enabling data-driven decision-making, the platform equips Dubai’s healthcare sector to adapt to evolving demands. It also supports investors by offering a robust talent pool and insights into workforce needs.
Smart solutions at Arab Health 2025
The platform was showcased as part of DHA’s enhanced technological offerings during Arab Health 2025, which celebrates its 50th edition this year. With over 3,800 exhibitors from 180 countries and an expected attendance of 60,000 visitors, the event remains the largest healthcare exhibition in the Middle East.
Among the highlights was the inauguration by Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed, Second Deputy Ruler of Dubai, who commended the milestone event as a testament to Dubai’s vision of fostering innovation and sustainability in healthcare.
Arab Health 2025 continues until January 30, providing a global platform for healthcare innovation, collaboration, and investment.
