DUBAI: In a significant humanitarian move ahead of Eid Al Fitr 2025, all inmates involved in rental disputes in Dubai have been released following a major initiative by the Dubai Rental Disputes Center, in collaboration with the Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Humanitarian & Charity Establishment.

The initiative saw 86 detainees freed after financial claims totalling over Dh6.8 million were settled.

The effort aims to ease the burden on affected families and offer the released individuals a fresh start. This move aligns with the UAE’s commitment to justice, social stability, and humanitarian governance, ensuring financial relief for those previously entangled in rental conflicts.

Humanitarian support

Judge AbdulQader Mousa Mohammed, Chairman of the Dubai Rental Disputes Center, praised the Establishment’s role in making this initiative possible. He highlighted how it underscores the values of compassion and generosity instilled by the UAE’s leadership.
