Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has unveiled the operational schedule for public transport and parking during the Eid Al Fitr holiday.
The adjustments, covering metro, tram, bus, and marine transport services, will be in effect from Saturday, 29 March to Tuesday, 2 April. Regular operations will resume on Wednesday, 3 April.
The Customer Happiness Centres and vehicle testing centres will also observe holiday closures. However, Smart Customer Happiness Centres in Umm Ramool, Deira, Al Barsha, Al Kifaf, and RTA Headquarters will remain operational 24/7.
Metro and Tram timings
The Dubai Metro Red and Green Lines will run at the following times:
- Saturday, 29 March: 5:00 AM – 1:00 AM (next day)
- Sunday, 30 March: 8:00 AM – 1:00 AM (next day)
- Monday to Wednesday, 31 March – 2 April: 5:00 AM – 1:00 AM (next day)
Meanwhile, the Dubai Tram will operate as follows:
- 29 to 31 March: 6:00 AM – 1:00 AM (next day)
- Sunday, 30 March: 9:00 AM – 1:00 AM (next day)
Bus and Marine services
For the latest Dubai Bus, Hatta Bus, and marine transport schedules – including Dubai Ferry, Water Taxi, traditional Abra, and electric heritage Abra – passengers are advised to check the S’hail app or visit RTA’s official website.
Key bus service changes include:
- E100 (Al Ghubaiba to Abu Dhabi) and E102 routes will be suspended from the afternoon of 28 Ramadan until 3 Shawwal.
- Alternative route: Passengers can use Route E101 from Ibn Battuta Bus Station to travel to Abu Dhabi.
Free parking announcement
All public parking zones in Dubai will be free of charge from 1 to 3 Shawwal, except for multi-level parking terminals. Regular paid parking fees will resume on 4 Shawwal.
These adjustments aim to accommodate increased public transport demand while ensuring a smooth travel experience for residents and visitors during the Eid celebrations.
