UAE: Dubai is set to host the first-ever L’Etape Dubai cycling race, a prestigious event presented by the legendary Tour de France. Scheduled for February 2, 2025, this inaugural race will make Dubai the newest addition to the global L’Etape series. According to the Hungarian Chamber of Commerce over 50 cyclists from Hungary will participate, adding an international flair to the event.
Since its launch in France in 1993, the L’Etape series has expanded globally, with Dubai now joining an elite list of host cities. This marks a significant step for the Middle East in the world of competitive cycling.
Race highlights and schedule
The L’Etape Dubai, renowned for drawing amateur cyclists from around the world, will unfold over two exciting days.
On February 1, young riders will have their turn with a Kids Race, offering 300-meter and 3 3-kilometer options, followed by a Family Ride covering 20 kilometers.
The following day, cyclists will face their challenge with the main event - "L’Etape Dubai" at 110 kilometers - or opt for "The Ride," a 60-kilometer course. Both races will begin at 6 am.

We are excited to offer an experience that showcases our city’s beautiful landmarks and promotes a healthy lifestyle.”
