Dubai: Tourists and visitors including Pakistanis and Indians who are planning a trip to the United Arab Emirates (UAE), are required to secure a visit or tourist visa to enter the country.
The application process can be completed directly by the traveller or through a UAE-based sponsor or travel agents. .

Travellers will receive a single-entry visa valid for either 30 or 60 days. Visa fee is paid by the applicants through sponsors, typically tourism establishments in the UAE, at the time of submitting the application.
Applicants must also provide a personal photo, a copy of their passport, an identity card (for nationals from Iraq, Pakistan, Iran, and Afghanistan), medical insurance valid in the UAE, and a travel ticket for onward or return journey.)

Applying for a visit visa is streamlined through digital channels such as the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) website or smart application. The process includes:

- Visa Fees and Additional Costs
As of July 2024, the visa fees are structured as follows:
- 30-day tourist visa: 200 dirhams
- 60-day tourist visa: 300 dirhams plus 5% VAT
- Additional fees for applications processed within the UAE include:
- Knowledge Dirham: 10 dirhams
- Innovation Dirham: 10 dirhams
The total fee for in-country applications is Dh500 dirhams, though costs may vary based on individual circumstances and other factors.
Note The visa fee can be even higher because the travel agencies charge their service charges as well.
