DUBAI: Flydubai has announced the resumption of its direct flights between Dubai (DXB) and Pisa (PSA), set to operate three times a week starting 1 April 2025.
Departing from Terminal 3 at Dubai International Airport, the route is expected to strengthen tourism, trade, and economic ties between the Gulf region and Tuscany.
The decision aligns with growing demand for enhanced travel options, particularly as the summer season approaches. Pisa International Airport will serve as a crucial gateway for passengers travelling between the UAE and Italy, offering seamless access to both regions' cultural and business hubs.
Expanded connectivity
The reinstated route positions Pisa as a key entry point for travellers looking to explore Italy’s iconic Tuscany region. Passengers flying from Pisa will also benefit from flydubai’s extensive global network, connecting seamlessly to destinations such as Mombasa, Langkawi, the Maldives, and Zanzibar.
Pisa marks one of five Italian cities now served by flydubai, alongside Catania, Milan-Bergamo, Naples, and Olbia (seasonal). This expansion reflects the airline’s broader strategy to increase its European footprint while catering to both leisure and business travellers.
Flydubai currently operates a fleet of 88 Boeing 737 aircraft, covering more than 130 destinations across 55 countries. The addition of Pisa reinforces Dubai’s standing as a major aviation hub, linking passengers to diverse locations worldwide.
Enhanced travel experience
Passengers on the Dubai-Pisa route can expect an elevated onboard experience. Business Class travellers will enjoy lie-flat seats and gourmet dining, while Economy Class passengers benefit from ergonomic reclining seats with adjustable leather headrests. The service aims to balance comfort and affordability, making long-haul travel more accessible.
