This decision follows the failure to sight the crescent moon on Saturday evening, confirming that Ramadan will complete on Monda in these countries.

As millions prepare for the joyous occasion, final prayers, acts of charity, and festive preparations are underway, setting the stage for grand celebrations across various regions.

Pakistan

Pakistan’s Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee has confirmed that Eid will fall on Monday, following the non-sighting of the Shawwal crescent on Saturday night. Cities like Lahore, Karachi, and Islamabad will witness large congregational prayers, while families prepare traditional dishes like sheer khurma and nihari. The occasion will also see an outpouring of generosity, with people giving Zakat and distributing food to the underprivileged.

India

India has also declared Monday as the first day of Eid Al-Fitr, with religious authorities verifying that the crescent moon was not sighted on Saturday. In cities like Delhi, Hyderabad, and Mumbai, millions of worshippers will gather at mosques and Eidgahs for special prayers. Families will indulge in festive feasts featuring biryani, kebabs, and the famous sweet dish, seviyan. As part of tradition, elders will give "Eidi" (money gifts) to children, and markets will be bustling with celebratory shopping.

Bangladesh

Bangladesh has announced that Eid Al-Fitr will commence on Monday, as authorities confirmed the absence of the crescent moon sighting on Saturday. The country will witness massive gatherings at national mosques, with Dhaka’s Baitul Mukarram Mosque hosting one of the largest Eid prayers. The festival will also be marked by the distribution of charity, festive meals, and social visits. Families will prepare traditional dishes, including pitha and beef curry, to share with loved ones.

Indonesia

Indonesia’s Ministry of Religious Affairs confirmed that Eid will be observed on Monday, March 31, 2025.
