Dubai: The General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) in Dubai has announced the specific centers where overstaying expats can apply for the UAE visa amnesty program. This two-month initiative, starting on Sunday, September 1, provides a grace period for individuals to regularize their visa status or depart the country without facing penalties.

Lt-Gen Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri, director-general of the GDRFA, said the amnesty program “reflects the UAE's humanitarian values and Dubai's commitment to tolerance, community compassion, respect, and the rule of law". He assured that their teams would process customer procedures efficiently and provide all necessary facilities.
Designated Centers

Amer Centers: There are 86 Amer centers located across Dubai where applicants can submit their applications.

GDRFA Center in Al Awir: This center is designated for fingerprinting and issuing departure permits for those wishing to leave the country.
