Dubai Municipality has announced that four public beaches will be exclusively designated for families during the upcoming Eid Al Fitr holidays.

The designated beaches – Jumeirah 2, Jumeirah 3, Umm Suqeim 1, and Umm Suqeim 2 – will provide a comfortable and secure environment for families looking to enjoy the city’s coastline during the festive season.

Authorities have also ramped up preparations to manage the anticipated surge in visitors.

Safety measures in place

To enhance beach safety, Dubai Municipality has stationed highly trained rescue teams equipped with modern safety gear and logistical support. These teams will be responsible for monitoring water activity, responding to emergencies, and ensuring smooth operations across the four designated family-only beaches.

A team of 126 rescue and safety personnel, supported by advanced equipment, will be deployed to ensure the well-being of beachgoers. Additionally, a ten-member field supervisory unit will oversee crowd management, parking, and overall security at these locations.

Crowd control teams will also be on-site to regulate footfall, particularly as public holidays and festive periods typically draw large crowds to Dubai’s coastline. The initiative aims to create a more organised and enjoyable beach experience for families, reducing overcrowding and enhancing overall security.

The authority has introduced improved accessibility features at public beaches, including designated pathways for people of determination and elderly visitors. Additionally, traffic management measures will be in place at car parks to facilitate smoother access to the beaches.

Beyond the beaches, Dubai Municipality has announced extended operating hours for major public parks, allowing residents and tourists to make the most of the festive holiday outdoors. Parks such as Zabeel Park, Creek Park, Al Mamzar Park, Al Safa Park, and Mushrif Park will operate from 8AM to 12AM, while residential parks and public squares will be open until midnight.

Free public parking

In a further boost for residents and visitors, the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has confirmed that all public parking in Dubai will be free during the Eid Al Fitr holiday, with the exception of multi-level parking terminals. This initiative is expected to ease mobility for those heading to beaches, parks, and other recreational spots across the city.

Dubai’s festive preparations also extend to key attractions such as the Dubai Frame and Children’s City, which will host a variety of entertainment activities throughout the holiday period.
