UAE’s space tourism takes flight in 2025
Experience the cosmos with Abu Dhabi and Spain’s exclusive space adventures starting at 600,000 dirhams
Abu Dhabi: The UAE is set to make a stellar leap into space tourism with its inaugural flights scheduled for the third quarter of 2025. European space pioneer EOS-X Space is leading the charge, offering breathtaking journeys starting at 600 dirhams,000 (Rs45.5 million) from Abu Dhabi and Spain.
Soaring to new heights: The ultimate space experience
Kemel Kharbachi, CEO of EOS-X Space, as quoted by a publication revealed that their cutting-edge Spaceship One capsules are nearing completion. Designed to carry up to eight passengers, these capsules will ascend to the edge of space using eco-friendly helium balloons, reaching altitudes of 40,000 meters. Travellers will be treated to unparalleled views of Earth’s curvature and the cosmos during a five-hour trip, providing a unique experience compared to Blue Origin’s 11-minute rocket rides.
A week of opulence and discovery
EOS-X Space is redefining space travel with a personalised week-long program that includes not just a journey to the stratosphere but also a blend of cultural, culinary, and wellness experiences. Unlike other space tourism options that require rigorous training, this package offers a more accessible luxury experience, priced between €150,000 (600,000 dirhams) and €200,000 (800,000 dirhams) depending on the selected option.
Ambitious ventures and global impact
Abu Dhabi is set to host EOS-X Space’s flagship complex, complete with a spaceport, shuttle, and a luxurious hotel on Yas Island. A similar facility is slated for Tulum, Mexico, with an expected opening in 2026. Kharbachi targets high-net-worth individuals among a potential 20 million global customers, forecasting $353 million in revenue for the first year and a 19 percent profit margin. By 2029, EOS-X Space aims to achieve a turnover of $1.127 billion and a gross profit of $324 million, reflecting a 23.3 percent profit growth. The combined investment for the Abu Dhabi and Seville projects will top $230 million.
With the global space tourism market soaring past $9 billion, EOS-X Space is set to revolutionise the industry, making space travel a dazzling reality for the world’s elite.
