Sharjah’s skies will light up with a 25-minute fireworks show across three key locations: Al Majaz Waterfront, Al Heera Beach, and Khorfakkan Beach. The event is poised to be one of the largest of its kind, with a stunning array of pyrotechnic displays that promise to leave spectators in awe.
The festivities will kick off at 8:00 PM, with Al Majaz Waterfront hosting a five-minute display, followed by ten-minute shows at Al Heera Beach and Khorfakkan Beach. These iconic destinations are sure to provide the perfect backdrop for welcoming the New Year.
The celebrations are expected to draw large crowds, and attendees can also enjoy various performances throughout the evening.
Security and Traffic plan
The Sharjah Police General Command (SPGC), through its General Department of Operations and Security Support, has announced its readiness to ensure the safety of all attendees during the festivities.
Brigadier General Dr. Ahmed Saeed Al Naour, Director-General of Operations and Security Support, explained that extensive security and traffic patrols would be deployed across the emirate. These efforts will focus on high-traffic areas such as Al Majaz Waterfront and Khorfakkan Corniche, and key roads leading to the celebration venues.
Sharjah Police are also partnering with Sharjah Municipality, Sharjah Electricity, Water, and Gas Authority, Sharjah Roads and Transport Authority, and Rafid Vehicle Solutions to ensure that all necessary infrastructure and resources are in place. Additionally, advanced monitoring systems and smart technologies will be deployed to enhance the efficiency of emergency response services.
Brigadier General Dr. Al Naour called on the public to cooperate with authorities, especially near the celebration sites, to ensure a smooth and safe experience for everyone. For emergencies, the public is advised to contact the police on 999, or for non-urgent issues, to call 901.
Sharjah’s iconic locations
Sharjah offers a diverse range of locations to enjoy the New Year’s celebrations, each with its own unique attractions.
- Al Majaz Waterfront, known for its breathtaking views of Khalid Lagoon, will host live performances by saxophonists and violinists throughout the evening. The venue features over 20 dining options, offering local and international cuisines, creating a vibrant atmosphere for guests.
- Al Heera Beach, stretching over 3.5 kilometers, will captivate visitors with synchronised LED shows, fire displays, and live music. - Khorfakkan Beach, located on the eastern coast, is a popular family destination offering over 3 kilometres of scenic beachfront. Here, attendees can enjoy laser shows, EL wire acts, and LED roller characters. The beach will also feature 21 food outlets, providing an array of food choices for those looking to indulge.
A magical evening at Al Noor Island
For those seeking a more tranquil and intimate celebration, Al Noor Island presents “A Magical New Year’s Eve by the Bay.” This serene event will offer stunning views of the Al Majaz Waterfront fireworks and an opportunity to dine along the shoreline of Khalid Lagoon.
Visitors can also enjoy a self-guided island tour, and if weather permits, take part in a sky-watching session, making it the perfect escape from the crowds.
Winter Land Festival at Al Montazah Parks
